Running heightens your perception. You get a better sense of smell, vision, taste and feeling during your run. This is to your advantage running outside, not so much so on the treadmill.
Emi, I already love it! I have just returned to Australia from a year and a bit in a country where it was difficult to walk a hundred metres, let alone run. It still feels special to be able to head outdoors for a walk/run.
I'm not a doctor or even a professional athlete. I'm just a working mother of 3 who found myself a runner and am still in shock. This is just about cheering for healthy people who want to start running but lack motivation. If you have any medical concerns or worries, see a pro.
