Rookie running in New Zeeland -Josephine

Josephine runs with us in New Zeeland. She writes:

I run in Wellington, New Zealand, often with my friend Helen (in red) who makes me run faster and longer. She's going to make me run up that hill behind her! But I like to think of our hearts getting bigger and stronger pumping all that blood around when we run. Thanks for helping me to learn to run.

-Josephine.

Rookie running in San Francisco -Dawn

Dawn runs with us early in the mornings. This is what she sees. She writes:
I like to run on this street because it has wide sidewalks and is fairly flat. I also rarely have to dodge vomit, feces, syringes, or discarded mattresses (as opposed to the routes closer to my house). I run in the morning with my silent partner, my husband (possibly the only man in the group). I am not really a morning person, so it helps to have someone to motivate me at 6am.

We're all cheering for the two of you getting up in the morning darkness to run with us! We'll be running in the dark too soon. Darkness is approaching fast these days.

Love from Sweden

Rookie running in Uppsala -Hellena

Helena runs with us in Uppsala, about an hour north of Stockholm, Sweden. She writes:
This is where I run, well, part of my run. Since Uppsala's so flat I LOVE the fact that I have found a hill, and that the view is spectacular on a fine day (however, the day I took the photo it was grey and icky). I don't expect to see much more of this this season though as the sun, as of today, has already set when I get home from work.

Rookie running in Canberra -Jenzn

Jennifer is heading into spring. She runs with us in Australia. She says "I live in Canberra, Australia's small and not very glamourous capita.l" Wouldn't you love to run here too?

Busy California mom Michele runs at this race track while her kids are at swim practice.

Rookie running in England

Genevieve runs with us in England, a 40 minute trainride from London. I'd love to run there too!
